CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support
The CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support is the newest qualification in the aged care industry.
Students may do this course as an entry pathway into the aged care industry. Our CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support course is designed to develop multi-skilled workers who are industry ready to enter the broad range of services supporting the growing aging population in residential and community settings.

You will complete the theory components of the program online with two live recorded tutorials weekly (which are recorded) and a series of dedicated one on one support opportunities with your trainer to assist you with your online studies. There are five full-day scheduled mandatory workshops that you must attend to allow for the training and assessment of some of the more physical one on one components of the course.
You must also undertake a mandatory 160 hours Practical Placement requirement within a actual aged care facility which is an industry requirement. If you are however currently working in an Aged Care Facility you may incorporate this with your Practical Placement requirements.
The course comprises of 13 units (7 Core and 6 Elective). Successful completion of this course requires the fulfilment of all 13 units of competency.

Admission Criteria
Applicants seeking entry into CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support course should meet the following criteria.
- Over 16 years of age and not enrolled at school or undertaking the program through an identified pathway will.
- Have successfully completed year 10 of secondary school or equivalent or be of mature age.
- Be a Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident or an New Zealand citizen or an eligible Visa holder living in South Australia.
- Be able to use and respond to written language, including some unfamiliar material in a variety of contexts.
- Successfully complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test.
- Must be able to produce a clear National Police Certificate when requested.
- Produce evidence of Influenza vaccination
- Meet special enrolment conditions as required.
- Have access to a computer and reliable internet services
- Photo Identification.
- There are no prerequisite units of competence.

Possible Course Pathways
Once students have completed their qualification at the certificate III level they may decide to continue their studies in the CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support or candidates may also like to progress to higher level qualifications within the aged care sector and across the community sector.
The CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support requires the completion of 18 units, however for those students who have successfully completed the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support with AEATS, they will be automatically granted credits for 10 of these units.
AEATS will also recognise credit transfers upon proof of units completed with other RTOs.
